Job Overview:

Milwaukee County is seeking a skilled Salesforce Implementation Specialist to lead the integration, configuration, and optimization of Salesforce solutions for county government operations. The specialist will collaborate with the technical team to implement Salesforce CRM functionalities that enhance workflows, improve data management, and elevate public services.

Key Responsibilities:

Salesforce Configuration and Implementation:

  • Analyze departmental needs to develop tailored Salesforce solutions.
  • Customize Salesforce features, including dashboards, workflows, reports, and APIs.
  • Migrate data from legacy systems to Salesforce in collaboration with the Enterprise Apps team.
  • Execute deployment of new Salesforce features and explore integrations with existing applications (e.g., Microsoft Outlook).

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Applications Architect to translate business requirements into Salesforce configurations.
  • Conduct regular demonstrations and training sessions for the Enterprise Apps staff.
  • Maintain transparency by updating Jira tasks in real-time.

Support and Maintenance:

  • Provide technical support documentation and troubleshoot issues promptly.
  • Monitor and optimize Salesforce application performance to align with county goals.

Training and Documentation:

  • Develop user manuals, guides, and training materials.
  • Train staff on Salesforce CRM and custom government functions.
  • Keep detailed records of system configurations, workflows, and custom solutions.

Compliance and Best Practices:

  • Ensure all implementations meet government standards regarding data security and privacy.
  • Adhere to Milwaukee County’s change management processes and participate in weekly review meetings.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of Salesforce implementation experience, preferably in government or public sector settings.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions or similar CRM tools in a government environment.
  • Proven track record in system integration, data migration, and Salesforce customization.

Certifications:

  • At least one relevant Salesforce certification (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Certified Implementation Expert).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Salesforce Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, and third-party integrations.
  • Strong understanding of public sector operations and workflows, with experience in project management tools like Jira.
  • Familiarity with SQL, data mapping, and reporting tools such as Power BI.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with county government entities.
  • Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience implementing Salesforce for case management, service requests, and community engagement solutions.
