Job Description:
- Develop and implement test plans that include both functional and non-functional testing.
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.
- Identify and analyze software defects and work with the development team to resolve them.
- Coordinate testing efforts across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Work with project managers to ensure testing activities are included in project timelines and budgets.
- Prepare reports on testing activities, including test results and defect metrics.
- Develop and maintain test environments that mimic production environments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques for software testing.
Mandatory Skills:
- Lead and direct high priority projects impacting three or more businesses or functions, or complex projects affecting multiple businesses or functional areas.
- Ensure familiarity with scope and project objectives, establishing clear roles and responsibilities for project team members.
- Develop project plans, forecast and schedule, working with stakeholders to record detailed project requirements.
- Ensure plans include work breakdown, project organization chart, cost/budget, communication, risk, quality, and resource plans.
- Communicate project plans to affected parties to ensure a common understanding and align stakeholders.
- Execute tasks defined in the project plan to achieve project goals, managing budget and forecast.
- Monitor and control project work, including change controls, and measure project performance using appropriate tools.
- Implement approved actions and workarounds to mitigate project risks.
- Improve project team performance through leadership, mentoring, training, and motivation.
- Understand and adhere to company risk and regulatory standards, identifying issues needing escalation.
- Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain internal control standards and implement audit points as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
